A 31-year-old Murgon man faces a string of charges after an incident in Kingaroy on Wednesday during which shots were fired.

The QPS Ethical Standards Command is also investigating the incident.

Police will allege that about 2:00pm, a stolen silver Mazda 3 was driven at police in Victoria Street, narrowly missing officers.

As a result, police discharged their firearms.

No one was injured.

Shortly afterwards, it will be alleged the vehicle evaded police on the Bunya Highway at Memerambi and continued to be driven in a dangerous manner.

The vehicle and driver were located at a Wondai address about midnight.

The Murgon man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, dangerous operation of a vehicle, evading police, driving while disqualified and robbery.

He was due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Thursday.
