Meehans Road at Memerambi is to be closed temporarily to allow South Burnett Regional Council to do essential roadworks.
A Council spokesperson said the entire length of the road – from Memerambi-Gordonbrook Road to Recreation Drive – will be resheeted with gravel.
“It is expected the project will be undertaken from early April through to the end of April, weather permitting,” the spokesperson said.
“To safely undertake these works it is necessary to close vehicular access while some of the tree clearing and resheeting tasks are undertaken.”
The road is expected to be closed for two weeks from Thursday (April 9).
“During this period there may be short delays in gaining access to properties within the work area,” the spokesperson said.
“All other traffic is requested to use an alternative route, such as via the Bunya Highway.”
