South Burnett Regional Council is beginning a program to replace water meters in Proston and Nanango.
The program is due to begin on Monday (March 30) and run through to June 30.
A Council spokesperson said water meters wear with usage and age.
The replacement program ensures water meter readings and bills remain as accurate as possible.
Replacement will depend on the specifications of the individual meter.
“It is normal that your meter may be replaced but the meter belonging to your neighbour may not,” the spokesperson said.
