Constable Connor Miller’s curly locks have gone but the fight against blood cancer is more than $2000 better off because of her bravery.

The police officer decided to Shave For A Cure on Friday morning in Kingaroy to support the Leukaemia Foundation’s annual fundraising drive.

Her colleagues at the Kingaroy Police Station organised a sausage sizzle to help her raise funds.

While her young daughter Rose looked on in astonishment, Const Miller went under the electric razor, wielded expertly by Sue Heinemann from “Haircuts on Haly”.

As the the curls fell to the ground, Rose tried to put them back on her mum’s head … much to the amusement of onlookers.

Const Miller had raised “a bit over $1500” before the shave.

But she was surprised immediately afterwards when retired police inspector Barry Krosch presented her with a cheque for $500 to add to her tally.
