Murgon Crusaders will be strong favourites to take the trophy going into the Gympie A Grade cricket final on Saturday.
After finishing on top of the table, Murgon easily defeated Gympie Colts in the qualifying final on February 22 in Murgon.
But Colts managed a narrow win over Kenilworth in the Preliminary Final played last Saturday in Gympie, earning them the right to face Murgon again.
The match is almost an exact replay of last year’s Grand Final.
Murgon finished in first place last year while Colts had to battle their way through to the Grand Final via the sudden-death Preliminary Final.
However, Murgon fans will be hoping for a better outcome in this year’s encounter.
In 2019, Colts chased down the Murgon target to take the crown.
The Grand Final will be played from 12:30pm at Keith Manthey Oval in Gympie.
