Eligible community organisations are being encouraged to apply for funding from Federal Government’s 2020-21 Indigenous Languages and Arts program.

The program supports projects which preserve, maintain and express culture through Indigenous languages and arts.

“The Morrison Government is committed to supporting Indigenous languages and arts organisations to ensure that heritage, culture and knowledge can be preserved and passed on to future generations,” Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien said.

“Preserving languages and supporting traditional and contemporary Indigenous art forms is important for Australia, and it’s also important to help promote the work of our talented Indigenous artists and performers internationally.”

The funding is available for a range of projects that seek to celebrate and promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through community-led Indigenous languages and arts activities.

Applications close on April 6.
