Two Kingaroy police officers were injured while attempting to arrest a man at a house in River Road on Wednesday afternoon.
Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said police were called to a disturbance at the residence about 4:45pm.
Police will allege that when they entered the house they found a man inside who immediately became hostile towards the officers.
The man stood up and allegedly pushed the officers and kicked both in the chest and legs on several occasions.
A 33-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with one count of failing to dispose of syringe and two counts of serious assault police.
He was due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Snr Sgt Tierney said both officers were treated for minor injuries, including scratches to their arms and hands.
