A 38-year-old woman has been charged with a number of offences after she allegedly blew 0.214 – more than four times the legal limit – at a roadside breath test.

The woman, from Maryborough, was stopped by police on the Wide Bay Highway near Goomeri about 10:00am on Wednesday.

Police will allege she was detected speeding at 126km/h.

She will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on February 4 charged with disqualified driving and driving under the influence of liquor.

Gympie Police are investigating the theft of an unregistered quad bike from a property on Gympie-Woolooga Road at Widgee.

The vehicle was taken at some between January 23-28.

The quad was parked in an open shed when it was stolen.

The thieves removed a makeshift milk crate toolbox off the back before either riding off or placing the quad bike on the back of a vehicle.

The quad bike is described as an off-road blue 2016 Yamaha 400 with a couple of score marks in the seat.
