South Burnett Regional Council is considering creating two new disability parking bays in Coulson Street, Blackbutt, after requests from local residents.
A spokesperson said Council had received requests to move the existing disability parking in Muir Street to address location and safety issues.
The SBRC is proposing to install two disability parking bays in Coulson Street, one on either side of the road.
Council said the proposed locations (see map, above) will minimise the loss of existing parking bays and won’t affect the performance of the recently installed stormwater network.
The SBRC has invited interested parties to submit feedback regarding the proposed parking changes (ref. ECM ID 2617650) by email, in person at any Customer Service Centre, by phoning (07) 4189-9100 or by mail to: PO Box 336, Kingaroy, 4610.
Consultation closes at 5:00pm on September 27.
