A car stolen from a home in Murgon last week was found a few hours later in Cherbourg.
Murgon Police said the thieves entered the home in Holz Court about 1:30am on June 12 via an unsecured door.
Once inside, they found a set of vehicle keys. They then stole the vehicle from the garage.
It was located by police about 10:00am the same day in Cherbourg.
Investigations are continuing.

Property
- June 8 – A 20-year-old Cherbourg man will appear in Cherbourg Magistrates Court on July 10 charged with wilful damage after holes were kicked in a wall inside a home in Fisher Street, Cherbourg.
- June 9 – A 14-year-old Deebing Heights girl, 14-year-old Goodna girl, 15-year-old Logan girl and a 15-year-old North Ipswich girl are being dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act after items were shoplifted from a business in Lamb Street, Murgon. More items were stolen from Lamb St businesses on June 11 and June 12.
- June 9 – About 4:00pm, a vehicle parked at a business in Lamb Street was damaged.
- Between 4:30pm on June 10 and 8:00am the next day, thieves damaged a window at a business in Fisher Street, Cherbourg. They also stole items from an unlocked shed.
- Between midnight on June 10 and 10:00am on June 12 a window was damaged at a business in Macalister Street, Murgon.
- June 14 – Between 10:00am and noon, a screen door was damaged at a home in Davidson Street, Murgon.

Drugs
- A 21-year-old Murgon man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on July 9 charged with possessing dangerous drugs, a controlled drug and drug utensils after police searched a home in Rose Street, Murgon, about 3:00pm on June 10.

Traffic
- A 42-year-old Barlil man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on August 20 charged with drug driving after he was stopped in Krebs Street, Murgon, on June 14 for a roadside drug test.

Police from Murgon, Cherbourg and Wondai responded to a variety of incidents between June 7-14 including drug, traffic property offences. They also attended 11 calls related to domestic violence incidents, issued 25 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 19 roadside breath tests.
