Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a 39-year-old man who escaped from police custody on Friday.
Viva Dodd escaped while being transported to Bundaberg Hospital for treatment to a hand injury.
Acting Inspector Michael McGarry told the media on Monday the wanted man could be heading to Murgon or Gympie.
Dodd was in custody due to allegations of violent behaviour, however there are no ongoing concerns in relation to the safety of the public.
Anyone who has any information in relation to his current whereabouts is urged to contact police.
Anyone who sights him is asked to immediately call Triple Zero (000) and not to approach him.
He is described as 170cm tall with a solid build, brown hair with two rat tails, and brown eyes.
His left hand is bandaged with two fingers splinted.
