Three juveniles will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act following an attempted armed robbery in Kingaroy last week.
The three teenage boys were arrested by police in Deception Bay on Friday.
This followed an incident in Rotary Park about 2:00pm last Thursday in which a woman and her three children were approached.
One of the youths allegedly produced a knife and demanded money, but left empty-handed with his companions in a vehicle which had been stolen earlier.
Police attempted to intercept the vehicle on the Bunya Highway but due to risk to the public, abandoned the pursuit.
The stolen vehicle, which was also involved in a fuel drive-off at the Murgon BP Roadhouse, was later located in Caboolture.
