A funeral will be held in Gympie on Friday (May 3) for well-known Goomeri resident Glenda Harch who died last week.
Mrs Harch, 66, was involved with the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival since it began in 1997.
For many years Glenda was the official co-ordinator and was always a familiar sight on Festival day in the office.
Generations of local students were also taught by Mrs Harch at Goomeri P-10 State School, where she spent 13 years as principal.
Glenda died peacefully on April 24 at Little Haven Palliative Care in Gympie.
She is survived by her husband Darryl, three children and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the Cooloola Coast Crematorium Chapel, 236 Brisbane Road, Gympie on Friday at 10:30am.
