Toowoomba Regional Council chief executive officer Brian Pidgeon has had his contract renewed for another three years.
Mr Pidgeon was appointed CEO in July 2013 after serving as Acting CEO for 11 months following the resignation of former CEO Ken Gouldthorp.
He has had a long involvement with Toowoomba council and more than 35 years’ experience in local government.
Mr Pidgeon was the Manager of Health Services at Toowoomba City Council for six years and was appointed Director of Community and Environmental Services in October 1998.
The role of CEO at TRC has had a chequered recent history.
The last three CEOs have resigned before their contract’s completion.
