South Burnett disability advocate Rhonda Trivett has plans to set up wheelchair basketball and wheelchair table tennis teams in the South Burnett.
“The PCYC at Murgon has told us we can have a team,” Rhonda said.
“Anyone with a disability will be able to take part, even if they’re not in a wheelchair.
“We’ll teach them how to play in a wheelchair.”
She said the teams would be made up of players from age 8 and upwards and training would begin when she had enough people interested.

Rhonda has become a big fan of wheelchair basketball in recent times.
On May 4-6, she will be taking part in the “The Classics” Queensland State Titles at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Boondall.
