A 45-year-old South Nanango man has been charged with armed robbery after an incident at the United service station in Nanango on Monday night.
Police will allege the man threatened a service station employee with a knife about 8:30pm before stealing a packet of cigarettes.
It will be alleged the man approached the 26-year-old male employee, produced a knife and made threats.
The staff member fled while the man allegedly searched the store and took a packet of cigarettes, stopping briefly to smoke one before fleeing the store.
A man was located a short time later in a vehicle in Budgen Street, Yarraman, where he allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test.
He has been charged with armed robbery, enter premises and commit indictable offence, and drink driving and was due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
