Urban and rural fire crews were called to a large grass fire burning on Clark And Swendson Road in Kingaroy on Monday afternoon.
The fast-moving blaze, which burned out several hectares of grassland, was reported at 12:21pm.
Heavy smoke caused hazards on nearby roads.
Firefighters had the grass fire under control by 1:30pm although work continued to blacken out and dampen down the fire ground.
By 4:30pm, all fire crews had left the incident.
Firefighters will continue to monitor the area over coming days.
