World Day of Prayer – an interdenominational Christian celebration – will be celebrated in the South Burnett on Friday, March 1.
The World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement started by women and is celebrated annually in more than 170 countries on the first Friday in March.
In the South Burnett, the host venue for each town’s celebration rotates annually between different church denominations.
Every year, the worship service focuses on a different country and a specific theme.
In 2019, the ecumenical service has been prepared by the Christian women of Slovenia.
This year’s theme is “Come – Everything Is Ready”.
