Bookings for the last in a series of a popular community-building workshops organised by the Red Earth Community Foundation close on Wednesday.
The final workshop, entitled “Effective Mentoring”, will be led by RuralScope director Jo Eady.
Jo, who grew up in rural Victoria, holds qualifications in education, psychology, management, coaching and counselling.
She has experience working with rural organisations, including the Australian National Rural Women’s Coalition, Cotton Australia and facilitating leadership programs in the cotton and grain industries.
The full-day workshop will cover:
- What is mentoring?
- How can I utilise mentoring to be more effective?
- Can I mentor younger people in my community?
- How can mentoring support business?
Jo aims to help people create positive and long-lasting change in and around their lives.
The workshop will be held from 8:30am to 4:30pm on Monday, February 25, at the Kingaroy TAFE campus.
Cost is $113.60 and tickets can be bought online (which includes complimentary dinner and further discussions with Jo in the evening)
Bookings can also be made just to attend the dinner session ($51.60).
