Murgon police are investigating a series of thefts, break-ins and vandalism which have occurred since January 25.
- On January 25, unknown thieves entered a house in Gore Street between 8:30am and 7:30pm and stole personal items.
- Between 6:00am on January 23 and 8:00am on January 30, thieves used a tool to gain entry through a window to a business in Gore Street. Once inside, they removed various food items before leaving via the front door.
- Between 5:30pm on January 25 and 1:00pm on January 26, unknown offenders approached a business on Lamb Street, Murgon and damaged windows, the floor, stairs and fence railings.
- A 77-year-old Murgon man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court March 15, charged with stealing. Police will allege that about noon on January 30, he stole property belonging to another person at a business in Gore Street.
- Between noon and 5:00pm on January 30, vandals damaged a fence at a property on Harms Road at Wheatlands.
- Between 3:00am and 3:30am on February 1, thieves entered a house on Thompson Street, Murgon, through an unsecured door. They then stole personal items.
- Between 4:00pm on February 1 and 6:30am on February 4, thieves broke into a property on Arnell Street, Murgon, by damaging and removing a window. They then removed various food and personal items.
- Between 11:30am on February 1 and 8:00am on February 4, unknown offenders attended a business on Stephens Street, Murgon, and damaged a drain cover.

A 29-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on February 19 charged with possessing a knife in a public place and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence.
Police will allege they located the items after they pulled over his vehicle about 2:00am in Burns Crescent at Wondai.

Officers from Murgon, Cherbourg and Wondai responded to a variety of incidents between January 25 and February 1.
These included drug offences, traffic offences and property offences.
Police also attended 12 calls related to domestic violence, issued nine infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 243 roadside breath tests.
