Police called to a disturbance at a hotel in Haly Street, Kingaroy, on Thursday night found themselves in an unusual situation.

A 24-year-old Kingaroy woman had allegedly smashed a pool cue at the business, then started undressing when police arrived about 8:30pm.

The woman was arrested and issued an infringement notice for public nuisance ($783 fine).

An 18-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 4 charged with possessing dangerous drugs after police search of his person allegedly located drug-related material on January 22.

A 25-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 11 charged with possessing drug utensils or pipes after police stopped and searched his Ford Falcon in Carinya Street, Kingaroy, on January 23.

A 35-year-old Townsville woman, searched by police in George Street, Kingaroy, on January 23,  will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 18 charged with failing to dispose of a syringe.

A black Ford Falcon parked in the underground carpark at Kingaroy Shoppingworld was “keyed” at some time between 8:30am and 6:00pm last Monday (January 21).

The vandals dragged a key along the right hand side and across the bonnet of the vehicle.

Thieves tried to steal a Ford Falcon from behind a shed in River Road, Kingaroy, about 10:00pm on Thursday.

A witness who knew the vehicle, saw it being towed and ran after it.

The thieves turned into First Avenue where they unhitched the vehicle, then sped off.

Investigations are continuing.

On Wednesday, police stopped a 31-year-old Nanango man driving a Hyundai Elantra on Redmans Road, Kingaroy, at 9:10am. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 4 charged with driving while his licence was suspended.

On Thursday, police stopped a 26-year-old Kingaroy man driving a Holden Commodore on Youngman Street, Kingaroy, at 6:10pm. He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 35 charged with driving while his licence was suspended.

Kingaroy police responded to a variety of incidents between January 21-25 including traffic, good order and property-related offences.

They also attended four calls related to domestic violence incidents, issued 10 infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performed 23 roadside breath tests.
