Kingaroy’s Westpac Bank in Alford Street closed early on Friday after an incident involving the branch.
southburnett.com.au understands threats had been made targeting the branch.
“We can confirm the Kingaroy branch is closed for the remainder of the day as a safety precaution,” a Westpac spokesperson in Sydney said.
“No customers or staff have been harmed and we are working with police as they investigate the matter.”
A security guard was stationed at the door of the closed building.
