UPDATE: At 7:30pm, the previous bushfire warning has changed.
QFES crews are at a bushfire burning near Mundubbera-Durong Road and Greentree Lane, Beeron.
This fire broke out this afternoon and is posing no threat to property at this time.
Crews are using machinery to construct firebreaks in an effort to contain the fire.
Mundubbera-Durong Road may be affected by smoke, so motorists are advised to drive with caution and to conditions.

EARLIER:
Mundubbera-Durong Road was closed on Wednesday evening due to heavy smoke from a bushfire in the Beeron area.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at 5:00pm.
At 6:45pm, QFES issued a WATCH AND ACT alert for the fire and warned residents to be ready to follow their bushfire survival plan or prepare to leave as conditions could get worse.
At 7:10pm, there were nine fire crews at the incident.
The fire was travelling in an easterly direction from Mundubbera-Durong Road towards Skeates Road, Beeron.
Fire crews were working to contain the fire but firefighters may not be able to protect every property.
People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.
