A long-awaited project to seal Logan Street in Kingaroy will begin this week.
The South Burnett Regional Council has advised it will commence work on Logan Street between Regent Street and First Avenue on Thursday.
The project will include earthworks, a gravel pavement, bitumen sealing and signs.
A Council spokesperson said it was expected the works would be completed in early December 2018, weather permitting.
In order to provide a safe working environment, this section of Logan Street may be closed to normal traffic between 6:00am and 3:30pm on weekdays.
Alternate routes and access arrangements for properties within the work zone will be in place.
Through traffic on Regent Street and First Avenue will be controlled by signage or traffic control, with some minor delays expected.
There may be some restriction to property access for local property owners for short periods but residents will be notified in advance by the supervisor.
