Are you feeling confused about the National Disability Insurance Scheme, ie. the NDIS?

The NDIS has been available in the South Burnett since July and more than 5100 people from the region are expected to join up by 2019.

But there’s still lots of confusion about the Federal Government program which aims to empower people with with a significant and permanent disability to choose the assistance they need to set and achieve their goals.

The National Disability Insurance Agency – an independent statutory agency – has been set up to implement the NDIS.

The agency, in conjunction with Member for Maranoa David Littleproud, has organised a free information session about the NDIS in Kingaroy on Friday.

It will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall Reception Room in Glendon Street, Kingaroy, from 10:30am to 1:00pm (registrations from 10:00am).

This is an opportunity to find out more about the NDIS and get any questions answered.
