Three cars stolen recently from different addresses around the South Burnett have been located by police.

A Ford Falcon stationwagon, taken from South Street in Wondai last week, was found on Friday in Cherbourg. The thieves stole the keys to the vehicle by climbing through an open window of a home.

A game console was also taken.

A Toyota Corolla stolen from Cobbo Street in Cherbourg last week has been found at Pinkenba in Brisbane. Police say the thieves entered the home via an unlocked door. They also stole a number of mobile phones.

In the early hours of Sunday, thieves targeted an address in Goomeri, taking a personal safe and a Hyundai Santa Fe after opening an unlocked back door. Police found the safe later the same day. The stolen vehicle was located in the Wondai State Forest on Monday.

About 6:00am on Monday, thieves entered a house in Cherbourg through an unlocked rear door and a number of personal items were stolen.

The thieves then tried to steal a vehicle which was parked outside, however were interrupted by the owner.

Between 10:00pm on Friday and 6:00am on Saturday, thieves have smashed their way into a kiosk at Yallakool Tourist Park.

They stole soft drinks and a large safe.

Police have also reminded residents to lock and secure their homes at night, and keep their car keys in a safe location.
