Nanango police are seeking witnesses to the crash of a stolen rental car on Embrey Road, South Nanango, last Wednesday morning.
About 1:45am, police were called to the incident and arrived to find the vehicle had caught on fire.
However, the driver and any occupants had abandoned the vehicle before emergency services arrived.
Officer-in-charge of Nanango Police, Sergeant Brett Smith, said investigations revealed the vehicle – a silver Holden sedan (registration 280-WUA) – had been stolen from Brisbane Airport.
The 2016 Holden Commodore was engulfed in fire and extensively damaged.
Police are seeking anyone who may have seen the Holden driving in and around the south Nanango area, especially along Embrey Road.

Thieves smashed a window to gain entry to a home on Malar Crescent at some time between 1:30pm on September 22 and 7:50pm on September 24.
A quantity of property was stolen.
Nanango police are appealing for information from any witnesses who live near Malar Crescent who may have seen any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area.

A 29-year-old Nanango man will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on November 8 to face a charge of possessing tainted property.
This follows an incident in Nanango on Sunday, September 23.
Police were approached by a motorcycle rider who told them his helmet and gloves had been stolen from the car park of a business in Fitzroy Street.
Police patrolled the area and located the helmet and gloves.

A 25-year-old Nanango will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on October 11 to face a drugs charge.
On September 24, police from Kingaroy CIB, Nanango, Yarraman and Blackbutt attended a Bunker Street, Nanango, address and executed a search warrant.
During the search a number of drug items were allegedly located.

Nanango police were called to the skate bowl in Pioneer Park last Monday to investigate a report of property damage.
Several children were identified and spoken to. After further inquiries, possible action may be taken under the Youth Justice Act.

A 47-year-old Nanango man has been charged with drink driving after he allegedly blew 0.126 after being pulled over by police on Wickham Street, Nanango, last Wednesday night.

A 30-year-old Nanango man will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on October 25 charged with driving while disqualified by a court.
Police allegedly saw the man’s vehicle pull into a vehicle parking space in Fitzroy Street.
The vehicle’s number plate was also confiscated for 90 days.
