FLASHBACK: Elvis (Jeff Hancox), Bris Vegas showgirl Phoebe Jessop and Cr Roz Frohloff all had a great time at 2016’s Casino Night … this year the popular annual event will be a fundraiser for the planned Butter Factory Park disability playground

September 18, 2018

The thrill of trying to break the bank at the casino – without any of the risks – will be back in Nanango this Saturday night (September 22).

And this year it will be for a very good cause: raising funds to help build a disability playground at Nanango’s Butter Factory Park.

The Nanango Tourism and Development Association will be running their once-a-year Casino Night at Taras Hall next to Nanango RSL from 6:00pm until late, with gaming starting at 7:00pm sharp.

Guests at this licensed $40 per head event will get to enjoy their first drink free, along with delicious finger foods, tea and coffee all night plus $2000 in play money.

Casino-standard gaming tables from Brisvegas and friendly professional croupiers who are happy to explain the rules will let you test your mettle on blackjack, poker, roulette and craps tables.

But if you get wiped out, extra chips can be purchased for a modest price to get you back in the game quickly.

Popular performer Arthur Nettelfield will also be providing live music throughout the night.

If you want to dress up, this year’s fashion theme is “High Rollers” … but if you don’t, then semi-formal attire will do just fine.

And at the end of the night, there’ll be great prizes for this year’s biggest winners (along with good-natured commiserations for those who aren’t).

NaTDA’s Casino Night is having its fifth outing this year and organisers are hoping for a very good roll-up to kick-start fundraising efforts for Butter Factory Park, which will eventually house the South Burnett’s first inclusive playground, providing children with disabilities a safe place to play.

Tickets for the Casino Night can be booked by phoning Rhonda on (07) 4163-1999 or Gloria on (07) 4163-2848, but will also be available at the door.
