Are you ready to race against the police?

Well, here’s your chance … Nanango Police are hosting their third annual “Take It To The Track” go kart event next month.

The day, at South Burnett Kart Hire, is always a lot of fun but there’s also a serious road safety message.

The event will run between 9:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday, October 6.

As well as the go kart racing, there’ll be a sausage sizzle, jumping castle, driving simulator, free donuts, traffic crash display, police equipment and more.

The day will also raise money for Queensland Police Legacy and the local SES.

The prices for go karts are $14 per 10-minute session or $19 per 10-minute session for a double kart that adults can take small children on with them.

A go kart licence is also required which costs $3 per person and requires an adult to complete for children.

Closed in footwear is also needed to race.

The event is being sponsored by Heritage Bank Nanango.
