A 26-year-old man will face Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 8 after allegedly crashing his car and then driving off.

Last Friday at about 4:00pm, police received information about a Holden Commodore losing control on River Road, Kingaroy.

Police located the vehicle a short distance away after inspecting damage caused to the roadway.

The driver, a 26-year-old Kingaroy man, was questioned about this and a hooning offence that allegedly occurred in Nanango earlier in the day.

He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 8 charged with driving without due care and attention, as well as operating a vehicle in a manner that creates unnecessary smoke or noise.

Last Monday (September 3), thieves entered a Haly Street home in Kingaroy via an unlocked rear door and stole a 55-inch TV and laptop.

The incident occurred at some time between 10:00am and 3.30pm, while one of the residents was at home asleep.

Two days later, thieves opened a storage box on the rear of Mazda utility parked at a Cowie Street, Kingaroy, address and stole a quantity of tools.

The same day – between 12:30pm and 1:30pm – an unknown person stole a portable fridge and safe from a caravan site on Walter Road, Kingaroy.

Investigations into all incidents are continuing.

Last Thursday, a 37-year-old Kingaroy man was arrested for allegedly stealing a mobile phone after the owner left it on the counter of a shop in Alford Street, Kingaroy.

The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court to face a charge of theft on September 17.

The same day, police intercepted a Holden station wagon being driven by a 38-year-old Nanango man on Haly Street, Kingaroy, about 6:30pm.

Police will allege a search of his vehicle located a used drug utensil.

The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 8, charged with driving while disqualified and possessing a drug utensil.

His vehicle was also immobilised for 90 days.

Kingaroy police officers responded to a variety of incidents between September 3-9, including six calls related to domestic violence incidents as well as issuing nine infringement notices for life-endangering traffic offences and performing 85 RBTs.
