Police are investigating the theft of a guitar from an address in Kimlin Street, Nanango.

The thieves caused extensive damage to gain access.

The incident occurred at some time between noon on Thursday and 8:35am on Sunday.

Nanango Police were kept busy during Queensland Road Safety Week with talks at local schools as well as performing high-visibility patrols.

A focus was placed on failing to wear seat belts, inattention while driving, speeding, driving whilst fatigued and driving under the influence of liquor and/or drugs.

Police were pleased to say that Nanango division had no reportable traffic crashes.

Seven traffic infringement notices were issued and 68 roadside breath tests were completed.

A 33-year-old Nanango man has been charged with producing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils after a search warrant was executed at an address on Memerambi-Barkers Creek Road, Wattle Camp, last Monday (August 27) .

Police will allege cannabis and drug utensils were located.

The man is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on September 17.

On Sunday afternoon, police from the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit stopped a 64-year-old Proston man travelling on Wondai-Proston Road at Proston.

He was issued with a Notice to Appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on November 27 to face a charge of drug driving.
