With the finals happening in all footy codes at the moment in the South Burnett, it’s almost time to start thinking about cricket!
Two junior cricket clubs are holding their sign-on days this Saturday (September 1).

At Murgon, former Queensland Bulls captain Chris Simpson will be the guest at the sign-on, which will be held from 10:00am to noon at the Murgon Sportsgrounds.
Simpson made his first class debut in 2002-03.
The all-rounder bowled right arm offspin and batted in the middle or lower order for Queensland and the Melbourne Stars.
He’ll be available for chats as well as some skills drills.
Children can register for Saturday junior cricket as well as Friday night Master Blasters and Thursday afternoon Junior Blasters.

Kingaroy Junior Cricket Club is also hosting a sign-on and “come and try” day on Saturday.
It will run from 10:00am to noon at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy and will also involve some skills development.

If you can’t make it to any of the sign-on days that local cricket clubs are hosting, registrations can also be made on the Play Cricket website (just search for your club)
