Nanango Hospital reopened on Thursday morning after Wednesday’s fire in bushland at the rear of the complex.
Three patients who were evacuated to Kingaroy Hospital on Wednesday afternoon have been transferred back to Nanango.
As the fire threat had passed, Nanango Hospital staff remained onsite overnight to look after any patients who sought treatment.
“Our thanks go to the Queensland Ambulance Service who assisted with the patient transfers and to Queensland Fire and Emergency Services for their work to keep our community safe,” a Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service spokesperson said.
