A 38-year-old Moffatdale man has been charged with assault with intent to rape after an alleged incident involving a 12-year-old girl.
Police will allege the incident was an opportunistic assault on a suburban street as the girl was looking for a lost dog.
The man and the alleged victim were not known to each other.
The man appeared in Kingaroy Magistrates Court by videolink on Friday.
He was refused bail and remanded in custody to re-appear on October 15.
