Business South Burnett – Council’s economic and tourism development unit – is hosting a big day for small business in Nanango on Wednesday.
The program for “Business XL” gets under way at 1:00pm at Tara’s Hall at the Nanango RSL Club with a Disaster Recovery Economic Sub Group meeting (open to business representative groups only).
At 3:00pm, a Procurement Workshop will be held to explain South Burnett Regional Council’s “buy local” process and introduce “FELIX”, Council’s new procurement system and pre-qualified supplier list.
At 5:00pm, a series of guest speakers will share their business success stories:
- Graham Archdall and Imelda Mangan – Burnett Business Centre,
- Rod Morgan – Morgan’s Health Solutions,
- Beau Smith – Ringsfield and The Palace Hotel, and
- Barry Green – Nanango Limousines.
At 6:00pm, a panel of Business Representative Groups from across the region will take questions from the floor about activity within their areas.
Local businesses have been invited to have business displays from 2:45pm to 7:30pm, providing information about the services and products they provide.
Stands will be accessible to attendees throughout the course of the afternoon.
At 7:30pm, Nanango RSL has offered South Burnett Business XL participants a discounted hotbox meal for $7.50 per person.
As an added attraction, there’s a lucky door prize – a video advertising package valued at $600 from Torkit Business Solutions.
