Kingaroy Lions Club presented the South Burnett Community Hospital Foundation Board with a cheque for $1000 at its recent meeting held at the Lady Bjelke-Petersen Community Hospital.
Kingaroy Lions past president Norm Jackson told the Foundation Board members that in the last financial year the club raised more than $40,000 to give away to charity organisations, and a further $40,000 to spend throughout the local community.
“This wonderful, generous donation will go towards the purchase of hospital equipment,” Foundation chairman Wayne Kratzmann said.
“It is an incredibly wonderful demonstration of local support for the community hospital.”
