It’s on again … tickets have gone on sale for the annual South Burnett Rugby League Dinner which will be held on Saturday, August 18.

Last year’s inaugural event, at Wondai Town Hall, was so popular the South Burnett Rugby League has decided to do it all again, only this year it will be at the Murgon PCYC which offers even more room.

Trophies will be presented to South Burnett representative players across all age groups: U10/U35kg, U12/U43kg, U13s, U14 Boys and Girls, U16 Boys and Girls, U18s, U20s, Open Women’s and A Grade.

The night will get underway at 6:00pm.

A special feature will be a salute to former players who were part of the last South Burnett A Grade team to win the 47th Battalion Shield, back in 1998.

Many of these men will be returning for the evening’s celebration.

“Come and celebrate the region’s finest rugby league players both past and present and inspire the youth of today to greatness,” organising committee member Scott Prendergast said.

Tickets to the dinner are available from the South Burnett Rugby League office at 17/119 Youngman Street, Kingaroy, or by phoning (07) 4162-4176.

Cost is adults $40 and children (aged 17 and under) $20.

NB. All South Burnett rep players have already covered the cost of the tickets with their playing fees.
