Five rural fire crews were called to a small fire burning in a gully at Ellesmere on Monday morning.
The fire, burning off Lillian Avenue, was reported to emergency services at 11:20am.
About one acre of land was affected.
At 12:15pm, crews had contained the western edge of the fire, and were working on the eastern side.
No properties were under threat.
