A driver involved in a single-vehicle crash in Haly Street, Kingaroy, on Saturday afternoon allegedly tested positive at a roadside drug test.
Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant David Tierney said the 24-year-old driver allegedly lost control while turning right and accelerating from Youngman Street into Haly Street.
The vehicle mounted the footpath before coming to rest.
Investigations are continuing.

A fire that destroyed a Ford stationwagon at Crawford on Saturday night is being treated as suspicious.
Neighbours contacted the fire brigade about 10:00pm after seeing the vehicle on fire in a front yard.
Police and firefighters attended but the vehicle and contents were destroyed.

Kingaroy Police have been kept busy with a number of thefts and similar incidents over the past week:
- At some stage between Monday (July 23) and Wednesday (July 25) unknown persons have entered underneath a highset home in Alford Street, Kingaroy, and stole household items.
- Police are investigating the theft of a phone charging cord and cable from an Alford Street store on Tuesday. The female suspect took the item from the shelf before removing it from its packaging and exiting the store without paying. She is described as Caucasian, large build with brown hair in a pony tail. She was wearing a white jumper, black pants and thongs and pushing a pram with a young boy. A yellow canvas bag was hanging off the pram. The woman is suspected of committing a similar offence on July 20.
- On Wednesday, unknown persons kicked in the bottom glass panel of a door to a business in Short Street, Kingaroy.
- On Thursday afternoon, female shoplifters again targeted a store in Alford Street. The first woman pointed to goods on the shelf which were then removed by the second who then took them out of their packaging and hid them under her skirt. Both offenders left the store without paying for the items. Offender one is described as mid-20s, Caucasian, solid build, tied-up strawberry blonde hair, medium height. Offender two is aged around early 40s, Caucasian, slim build, medium height, black hair tied up.
- Police are investigating the theft of a black Holden Commodore from Pound Street, Kingaroy, on Thursday. The thieves stole the keys from the owner’s handbag. The vehicle was located later that day parked in Hodge Street.
- Police are also investigating the theft of blue Toyota Corolla from a business in Victoria Street. The thieves forced an external garage door to gain access to the vehicle. They then used keys to the vehicle, that had previously been stolen. The vehicle later evaded police in Murgon before being returned to the business and parked back in the garage.
Investigations into all the above incidents are continuing.

Three people will also face drug charges in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on unrelated matters:
- A 39-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with possessing a dangerous drug after police pulled over a Ford sedan in Doonkuna Street, Kingaroy, at 4:00am on Wednesday. A search of the vehicle allegedly located a small quantity of amphetamine.
- On Thursday, police were called to a residence in Julie Street, Taabinga, in relation to another matter. While there, police allegedly located five cannabis plants in pots. A 22-year-old Taabinga woman has been charged with producing a dangerous drug.
- On Sunday, police received reports at 3:40pm of occupants of a Toyota stationwagon acting suspiciously whilst parked near an ATM in Alford Street. A search of the occupants and the vehicle allegedly located a small quantity of cannabis and a knife. A 42-year-old Wattle Camp woman has been charged with possessing a dangerous drug as well as a dangerous item in a public place.
