South Burnett women aged 30 or more who would like to further their personal or business development skills are being invited to apply for the QRRRWN Barambah Branch’s educational bursary.

Applications for the annual $1000 bursary opened earlier this week and will close on Friday, August 10.

The successful applicant will be announced at the QRRRWN’s annual State Conference, which will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall from September 13-15 this year to celebrate the organisation’s 25th birthday.

QRRRWN State President Melissa Barnett said the Barambah Branch bursary was independent of the State organisation.

“The idea for a bursary to support a South Burnett woman came directly from the local QRRRWN members, and so do the funds to support it,” she said.

“The three pillars of QRRRWN are to connect, develop and inspire and I think the Barambah branch bursary does this admirably.

“We are very proud to be able to support women financially as well as educationally at a local level, where it really makes a difference to a community.”

An application form for the bursary can be downloaded from the Red Earth Community Foundation website
