The South Burnett Race Club will be holding its Winter Race Meeting at the Wondai Racecourse on Saturday, July 7.

As usual, the meeting will feature an on-course TAB, live telecasts of interstate races and an undercover betting ring.

The Race Club’s canteen will be operating, along with an outdoor barbecue and the Lady Luck Cocktail Bar.

The meeting’s theme is “Winter Wonderland” and guests who dress to it can compete in the Fashions Of The Field competition.

There will be prizes for the best-dressed lady, gentleman, and child.

Gates will open at 11:30am and the first of the day’s five races will leave the barriers at 1:45pm.

The feature race of the day will be Race 3, the Roy Radunz OAM BenchMark 65 Handicap.

The race is named in honour of the club’s patron and former long-serving administrator, who was honoured with an Order of Australia this year.

It will leave the barriers at 2:55pm.

The Winter meeting is being sponsored by Hams Crane Hire and Supa IGA Kingaroy.

There will be no buses to the track, but there is plenty of free parking on site.
