Kingaroy’s new Bunnings store has moved a step closer with tenders closing on Thursday for construction of the building.
The store will be built on the D’Aguilar Highway near Harris Road on the site of a failed motel development.
A Bunnings spokesperson told southburnett.com.au it was too early to estimate construction times or an opening date.
“Once a builder has been selected we will know more,” she said.
The Kingaroy store is one of three that Bunnings are currently planning in Queensland.
Construction tenders for the others, located at Robina and Lawnton, also closed on Thursday.

Tenders also closed on Thursday for developers interested in the South Burnett Regional Council’s former Kingaroy depot site in Pound Street.
