The Kumbia Rattlers’ annual Cricket Family Fun Day was a little down on numbers on Saturday … and peanuts are to blame.

The local peanut crop has been late this year, which meant many local families were caught up with digging and thrashing.

But the club pressed on regardless with the annual fundraiser for the Kumbia Kindy.

The bar and barbecue for adults were already fired up when southburnett.com.au dropped in, while children were out on the pitch bowling and batting.

The seven-a-side games featured modified rules for women and children.
