A fire management workshop will be held on May 22-23 in Kingaroy to help property owners learn how to create a Fire Management Plan, and balance fire safety with conservation of native plants and animals.
The one-and-a-half day workshop has been organised by the South Burnett Regional Council, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and the South East Queensland Fire and Biodiversity Consortium.
Participants will receive free personalised maps of the area for which they want to develop a fire plan.
For this reason, bookings are essential.
The interactive workshop will be held at the Kingaroy Town Common Hall in Oliver Bond Street.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
Bookings – not later than May 8 – can be made with Council Administration Officer for NRM & Parks, Regina Sloper, by phoning (07) 4189-9100.
