Friday (April 13) is the last chance to for local primary producers to book into the next South Burnett Community Agriculture Network meeting.
The focus for this first meeting for 2018 will be “insurance”.
The meeting will be held at Wondai Art Gallery on April 17.
Guest speaker will be Tony Head, the principal broker at Gallagher Insurance & Risk Management.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Farm and crop insurance and the current status of these markets
- What should people do who suffer damage? What process should they should follow
- How insurers handle claims in the event of severe storm, cyclone etc
- How the industry is getting better at handling impending cyclones and similar events
A light supper will be provided.
