Former Kingaroy junior golfer Shae Wools-Cobb, 22, has been selected to represent the Asia-Pacific at the biennial Bonallack Trophy competition being played in Qatar this week.
Wools-Cobb, 22, who now lives on the Sunshine Coast, will join fellow Aussie golfer Min Woo Lee, from Perth, in a bid to win back the trophy for the Asia-Pacific team.
The Bonallack Trophy is played every two years between two teams of 12 male amateur golfers representing Europe and the Asia-Pacific.
The venue alternates between the northern and southern hemispheres.
Wools-Cobb and Lee will be a key part of the team seeking Asia-Pacific’s first win in the event since 2004.
He competed in last year’s Australian Open but unfortunately missed the cut for Day 3 by just two strokes.
