Online bookmaker Sportsbet.com.au believe the Queensland State election will return a hung Parliament, with 80 per cent of money currently wagered backing that outcome.

The company said on Thursday it has shortened the odds that a hung Parliament will occur from $2.45 to $2.18, while no hung Parliament has drifted from $1.50 out to $1.65.

The bookie is also now offering what type of government Queenslanders will see after the November 25 election, with a Labor majority and a Labor minority government both rated the same chance at $2.30.

A Liberal minority government pays $2.70 and a Liberal majority government is rated a $7.50 chance, with One Nation at $21 to win in any capacity.

“Punters are convinced there will be a hung Parliament, with all the money coming for that outcome since the betting opened,” Sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne said.
