Cooyar bull rider Jack McArthur secured the Australian Professional Rodeo Association national buckle at the Warwick Rodeo at the weekend.
McArthur started the Warwick event in third place, behind Mt Isa rider Jared Borghero and NSW rider Ben Thorp.
He was competing in the national finals against the top 15 cowboys in Australia.
The Australian champions crowned at Warwick were:
- All Around Cowboy – Campbell Hodson
- All Around Cowgirl – Ellysa Kenny
- Saddle Bronc – Brad Pierce
- Bull Ride – Jack McArthur
- Bareback Bronc Ride – Fred Osman
- Rope & Tie – Campbell Hodson
- Steer Wrestling – Lachlan O’Neill
- Team Roping – Campbell Hodson & Liam Davison
- Barrel Race – Jaimi Downing
- Breakaway Roping – Jorja Iker
