ABC Radio announced on Friday that popular Statewide Evenings presenter David Curnow will be taking indefinite leave from his program.
“David is a valued member of our team,” Local Manager Jen Brennen said.
“He is highly regarded by his colleagues for his considerable journalistic skills, his keen eye for a story, and his ability to report on news.
“He is much-loved by our team and by ABC audiences.”
Discussing his break from radio, David said he was looking forward to spending more time with his young family.
David has been a familiar face and voice around Queensland with more than 15 years experience on ABC radio and TV news.
He made the move to radio in 2014 and has been presenting Statewide Evenings ever since.
Trevor Jackson will continue to present Evenings until the end of the broadcast year.
