Murgon Hospital Auxiliary has done it again … this time donating a new air conditioning unit for use in the hospital’s conference room.
The air conditioning unit follows hot on the heels of donations of furniture for the Palliative Care ward, and assistance with the upgrade of the Emergency Department.
Murgon Hospital Director of Nursing and Facility Manager Julie Kelly thanked the Murgon Hospital Auxiliary for their generous donation.
“The air conditioning unit will be installed in the conference room, which previously had no heating or cooling mechanisms and would get very cold in winter and hot in summer,” Mrs Kelly said
“This room is frequently used for board meetings, auxiliary meetings, focus group meetings, staff training and telehealth.
“The addition of air conditioning will greatly enhance the comfort of people using our conference room, making the experience much more pleasant in all seasons.
“The funds for the new air conditioning unit were raised by the Murgon Hospital Auxiliary, mostly through raffles and cake stalls supported by the Murgon community.
“We would like to sincerely thank everyone involved for their contribution.”
